Torn between the candidates
I was never really big on politics...
and actually I’m still not big on politics...

The outcome of the last 2 elections has saddened me...
on how unfair, backwards, upside down, unbalanced, untruthful,
corrupt, and just simply, how wrong the world and "politics" are...
So this year i wanted to get involved and do all i could early...
And i found myself torn...

The diary by Vietnamese wartime medic and martyr Dang Thuy Tram has been published in the US due to the author’s simple writing style and devotion and loyalty to the country, according to the publishers.
John Glusman of Random House, who is in charge of releasing Last night I dreamed of peace – the English version of Tram’s diary – said the book would help Americans and others understand the war better.
Seth Mydans wrote in the New York Times that the feelings evoked by Tram’s memoirs were as dramatic as the war itself.
Kirkus Reviews, an American publication that reviews books, said the book was like an urgent and simple call to readers’ hearts.
Publishers in 15 nations have purchased the copyright of the diary from the publisher and Tram’s family.
Random House has also established a website www.thuytram.com to popularize the book.
The diary was translated by Andrew X. Pham and includes an introduction by Pulitzer Prize winner Frances Fitzgerald.
